Kim Florio always wanted to be a "star"! She graduated from Lees-McRae College, in Banner Elk, NC with a BA in Theatre Education. She then became a gypsy traveling to different theatre companies, dinner theatres, summer stock companies, cruise ships and theme parks only to ultimately land a job at Countryside High School as the drama teacher/director. To her surprise she really enjoyed not being the star anymore but watching her students thrive on and off stage. She has had amazing success with her students in musicals, comedies and competition. Kim's greatest role to date is that of MOTHERHOOD. She is so proud to be the mother of Jacob. He is the light of her life. He is a charismatic, loving, creative, and very active 9 year old. She continues to perform professionally in the summers. Her favorite role is Lola from Damn Yankees. Her all time favorite musical, of which she played the role of Cassie, twice, is A Chorus Line.
